Veggie Pod

Located in Paso Robles, Veggie Pod was founded by Amy and JAMIE. Their mission was to create a healthy and time-saving option to eating healthy, in order to help the community stay healthy, even when life and busy schedules get in the way. Instead of buying single use pre-packaged, sugary smoothies, their creations are low in sugar and made with a variety of different vegetables and fruits. Good for you, good for the plant! Veggie Pod sells their award winning, frozen, plant-based Veggie Pods, containing only the freshest ingredients, mostly sourced from Calfironia. Simply take a Veggie Pod out of the freezer and blend it with your favorite drink and enjoy!

For more information about their products, you can head to their website, jamysfinefoods.com, or contact Amy Paniagua at (925) 413-7901. You can also find them on Instagram @veggiepods, and they’re also Amy & Jaime's Veggie Pods on Facebook. All three Veggie Pod blends are amazing and low-priced, anywhere from $0.50 to $5.99 each. Their items can be found locally at many locations, including SLO Natural Foods Co-Op, Sasquatch Coffee, The Wellness Kitchen, Soto’s True Earth Market, California Fresh Market, Sunshine Market, Etto Pastificio, and California Fresh Market. In addition, they offer free door-to-door deliveries up and down the Central Coast.

One of the founders, Amy, said that they used to do demos about 3 days a week handing out samples, and meeting new customers at grocery stores, but this was all stopped once the COVID-19 stay at home rules were implemented. As a result, they have needed to change their method of delivery to meet the needs of the community during this time by going to their customers; they have marketed on their website more, and offered free delivery in CA. via UPS.

Their Veggie Pods have received much recognition, in fact, they were one of the top 10 semi-finalists in the Small Biz Challenge. Congratulations! At this time, they have also created logos that give thanks to our frontline workers and first responders. They are also working with FeedingSLOFrontliners, whose mission is to feed the French Hospital frontline workers as well as the SLO Veterans Clinic.

Try out all three Veggie Pod blends while sheltering at home, especially since warm weather making its return! Stay healthy with guilt-free eating brought to you by Veggie Pod! We wanted to take a moment and thank all of the local farms, restaurants, and businesses staying open to support the needs of the community during this time. We also want to thank all of the frontline workers, grocery clerks, and first responders for their efforts and quick response to the pandemic.

Stay healthy,

Emily & Talia

About Us:

Welcome! We are so glad you are here. This site was inspired by our desire to help local farmers and business owners on the Central Coast get through this difficult time. We began this project in April 2020 when we were freshmen at San Luis Obispo High School, enrolled in an agriculture biology class, which requires a project related to agriculture every trimester. We have continued this project throughout our time in high school.

We hope our time aids in shining a light on local farmers and business owners on the Central Coast while significantly decreasing the amount of wasted food.

Additioanlly, we'd like to thank our agriculture teachers Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Evans for their continued support.
