CP Farms

CP Farms is a family owned olive oil and lavender farm. They began growing two types of olive trees back in 2009. They were so successful that shortly after their first harvest in 2013, they won a silver medal at the mid state fair in 2014 for their delicious olive oil.

The farm sells many items including extra virgin olive oil, lavender oil and Hydrosol. Did you know their olive oil is pressed within hours to ensure freshness? Furthermore, olive oil has 75% monounsaturated fat which reduces the amount of bad cholesterol in the body and replaces it with good cholesterol. In fact, olive oil that is very fresh like theirs contains polyphenols, an antioxidant that can not only help reduce the risk of heart disease, but also help fight breast cancer. The owner says their extra virgin olive oils have an aroma composed of dried or fresh green herb with hints of apple, tomato, dried mint and honey. Use it as a salad dressing or for dipping bread!

In addition to olive oils, the farm also sells culinary lavender. The owner says his wife likes to make lavender lemon bars and lavender lemonade out of their culinary lavender.

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, sales have been impacted significantly. Owner of CP farms says, “We have a tasting room here at the ranch which has been closed since mid March, so yes without our tasting room being open and the fact that many people are without work, our sales have definitely been impacted.” Fortunately, sales are still going on. To find out more about their wide selection of items and their prices, head over to their website www.cpfarmsinc.com To make a purchase, you can call 805-226-9528 or email them at contactus@cpfarmsinc.com They can also be found on instagram and facebook, under CP Farms

Since sales are continuing, they are still offering on curbside pick-up. The owner says they are leaving the products at their front gate for local pickup at 9669 Nacimiento Lake Dr, Paso Robles, CA 93446.

CP Farm’s wide selection of olive oils and lavender is sure to please the body and mind. While sheltering at home, why not purchase some items from CP Farms and try your hand at making some delicious lavender lemon bars or a salad you’ve never tried before! And when life becomes near normal again, stop by their tasting room and pick out the olive oil that you fall in love with. With all of the benefits that olive oil and lavender provides, why not help your body and a local business at the same time?

Wishing you well,

Emily & Talia

About Us:

Welcome! We are so glad you are here. This site was inspired by our desire to help local farmers and business owners on the Central Coast get through this difficult time. We began this project in April 2020 when we were freshmen at San Luis Obispo High School, enrolled in an agriculture biology class, which requires a project related to agriculture every trimester. We have continued this project throughout our time in high school.

We hope our time aids in shining a light on local farmers and business owners on the Central Coast while significantly decreasing the amount of wasted food.

Additioanlly, we'd like to thank our agriculture teachers Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Evans for their continued support.
